SCID小鼠即严重联合免疫缺陷小鼠(severe combined immune deficency，SCID)，是由常染色体隐性突变（SCID）而来，是位于第16号的染色体，又称为SCID的单个隐性基因发生突变。1980年，Bosma从Fox Chase癌症中心饲养的C.B-17/lcr小鼠群中发现该突变。该品系表现出严重的联合免疫缺陷症状，B细胞和T淋巴细胞功能缺失。同时该品系有正常的NK细胞、巨噬细胞和粒细胞。SCID小鼠具有人类寄生虫易感性，且病变与人类相似。 SCID 小鼠荷瘤实验的肿瘤成活率高达 36.9％，远高于裸鼠，并且对于白血病和恶性肿 瘤的转移率高，肿瘤发病进程与人类高度相似。研究淋巴细胞分化作用和调控作用的主要模型，是研究免疫缺陷与自发性淋巴细胞瘤之间关系的主要模型。
